  Canon Foundation Research Fellowship
Fellowship for young highly qualified Master’s or Doctor’s degrees Japanese researchers

Selection criteria
Target group: Master's degree, PhD degree
Purpose: Research
Field of study: All
Countries: Japan
Eligible candidates: Candidates should hold a doctorate or at least a Master’s degree. They start their Canon Fellowship within the ten-year period following the successful completion of their Ph.D or MA degree. Extensions to the ten-year rule are possible in principle in case of exceptional circumstances which should be explained in the application and supporting documents are required. Non-nationals have to have a permanent citizenship in either Europe or Japan

Grant information
Value and purpose of grant : € 22.500 to € 27.500 per year and pro-rata for different periods.
Grant award period : minimum 3 months and  maximum one year.
Closing date : September 15 each year
